Just a Little Update

I can't believe it's been months since I've posted anything here. Actually I can, because from mid August, until just a couple of weeks ago, my existence was thrown out of orbit by this little guy living in my tummy. That's right, I said little guy....we're havin' another boy to add to the brood! Apparently Heavenly Father figured I should be a mom to boys, and after shedding some tears about it....I can actually say I'm happy about it. For one thing, it's totally going to save money, and will allow us to stay in this house for a few more years, while I wait for one of my 6 houses that I am interested in to go up for sale.

Thought I would post a few pictures from this past week....the first is of the boys at the Christmas tree farm, I got this one picture taken and then my battery died.....the boys named our Christmas tree "Gnarp" this year.....silent 'g' like gnome.

Cody in his favorite hat.

Sam and Dylan after a great dinner of ribs.......

Dylan has become quite the reader lately......

Hope y'all are enjoying the beginning of this beautiful Christmas season, it's my most favorite time of the year, as I can reflect back on the past 12 months or so and really remember what is most important in my life, and why I was put here on earth. I am most thankful for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and love this season celebrating His birth. May the peace and joy of this beautiful season fill your heart with love and hope!

The last installment of Sunriver - July 2009

I'm pretty sure these are the last pics I will post of Sunriver. Hopefully later this week I will get the pics up from our weekend at the beach house with Grandma and Grandpa Winkelman! The guys out in the back yard of our house.
Mom and Cody at the pool!

Cody Codster loungin' in the sun at the pool!

Sam was tuckered out after a log day at the pool! We were all watching a movie, but he didn't make it too far into it.

Mt. Baker from the Lava Cast Forest. Pretty close to the same view we had from our house in Sunriver!

These pictures were from the lava cast forest, where, when the lava flowed around the trees, made "casts" of the trunks....it hardened and then the trees burned up leaving these cilindrical holes in the lava. It was pretty cool....some of the holes were taller than the boys!

Sam was having too much fun with my cowboy hat!

Some more sunriver!

Here are some more sun river pics. With this crazy HOT weather we've been having this week, I wish we could have this pool close by. The kids loved it, and I think that we spent a great deal of our time in Sunriver, at the pool.

This last picure was taken in the 'back yard' of the hosue we stayed in. Off to the right behind the little meadow area, is the 17th hole of the Meadows Golf Course!

Sunriver 2009

My, oh my! We had so much fun. But how can you not have fun in Sunriver....one of our most favorite places on earth! Here are a few places we ventured while in central Oregon!

The Pool of course! They have 2 main pools in Sunriver, but we like the South Pool the best! It has a waterslide, and a huge shallow kiddie pool that is perfect for playing fliers-up. In fact one day I think we had like 10 other kids playing with us. It was a blast!

This year we went out to Tumalo Falls, which we had never been to before....quite a little drive out to the middle of nowhere....a little creepy driving out there so far on a gravel road, but then when you get to the parking area and see a number of other cars, it feels a little more OK. We went right to the little spot which is adjacent to the parking area to see the falls, and then hiked up a little path to the top of the falls, which was really exciting. We then decided to hike a bit further up the river and found an awesome spot to hang out and throw big rocks in the river....I don't know who had more fun doing this, me or the boys!

So why is it that the boys look so pained in the picture with me, but sure take an awesome picture with dad?

Hopefully I'll have a bunch more pics to post of Sunriver over the next couple of days, so check back!

The Last installment of Beach

So, here are some of the last (well at least the last that I'm going to upload) pictures of our beach trip a few weeks ago. I figured that I better get 'em up here, cuz I'm taking the boys down again on Monday for a few days. The guys built an enormous sand castle like creation, and then watched the ocean come and eat it up!

Our friend Mark, who is stationed in Warrenton, (which is about 40 minutes from us at the beach) came down for an afternoon...he rides his motorcycle, and the kids love to put on his helmet.....this time, though, he brought an extra helmet so I could go for a little ride with him! Shhhh! Don't tell Barb! It was super fun. I had never bee on a bike before.....now I want one of my own!!!

Two Blogs, now?

Well since I already have a blog for stamping....and I vowed not to discuss kiddos there (well perhaps only mention them in passing)....ONLY STAMPING....I thought I might put together one for the boys!

So this blog will be dedicated to them.....and their awesome craziness!

Well, last weekend, we went down to the beachhouse, and it was SOOOOOOOOO wonderful! The sun was a shinin' and we all got a little roasty toasy on the beach! Our super fun neighbors came down too, Avery just adores the 'guys' as she calls them. We all had so much fun we didn't want to come home.....but let's face it, we never want to leave the beach!

The Beach Crew....as taken by Daddio!

Sometimes being at the beach is real tough.....

Is there something wrong with this kid....or is he just wearing a batting helmet on the beach for fun?Sam and Avery
